Wade & Ulu ~ Oahu, Hawaii

I was so excited to photograph Wade & Ulu’s wedding in Oahu last weekend. My husband, Nate, grew up with Ulu and her family on the East side of Oahu. Wade and Ulu met in Hawaii while he was visiting from Australia. After meeting Ulu, Wade went home and announced that he had met a Hawaiian Princess They are such a genuinely sweet couple. I felt so honored to be able to capture their special day. They were surrounded by a wonderful group of family and friends to share in their joy and love. They were married in Aina Haina at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses where Ulu’s brother Chad delivered a heartfelt marriage talk after which we drove to Waimanalo Beach Park for a few quick portraits. Their reception was held at Luana Hills Country Club in Kaneohe. This is such a beautiful location. We slipped away for a few more portraits and then headed to their reception. Ulu’s brothers are all amazing Musicians and Wade’s brother is an Opera singer in Australia so the reception was filled with wonderful songs that reflected everyone’s happiness for Ulu and Wade. Near the end of the Reception Ulu danced a beautiful Hula for her new husband. Congratulations Ulu and Wade! Nate and I are so happy to have been a part of your day…

Family Portraits ~ Oahu, Hawaii

Last weekend I had the opportunity to travel to the island of Oahu for a wedding and a few family portrait sessions. A past client of mine, Hailey got together a few of her friends and we had a marathon portrait day. I photographed 4 families at different locations in Oahu.What a fun day!

We started off with Krisla’s Family. Krisla has 4 children, 3 of which are triplets! All of the kiddos are adorable and so much fun to photograph. We started at 8am at beautiful Lani Kai Beach in Kailua. It was a bright sunny day with amazingly blue water…

Next I met up with Joey & Sarah at Kailua Beach Park. I really like this spot! There were lots of trees and grass as well as the very blue ocen and white sand. I love to have a good variety to work with. Joey & Sarah were actully moving away from the island the next day. I am so glad I had the pleasure of meeting them them before they left…

I went back to Lani Kai Beach to meet up with Hailey and Robert. It was so nice to see and work with these two again! When I first met them they flew over to Maui for an Engagement Session at Makena Cove. They have since gotten married and it seems that married ife is treating them well. Hailey has he most infectious smile! I was smiling the entire time I was photographing them. Robert is such an easygoing, calm energy to have around. Thank so much Hailey for organizing this fun day for me! I am so glad we got to meet up again before you move on to your next adventures somewhere else…

Last but not least I met up with Johana and her family for a sunset shoot in Ko’olina. I think the Ko’olina has to be one of my favorite spots in Oahu. Such a beautiful place. We could not have asked for a better sunset. Johana & her husband have the two most adorable little girls! These girls were so much fun to photograph and so well behaved! I couldn’t stop snapping away…

Brendan & Kelly ~ Seabury Hall

Brendan & Kelly were married at Seabury Hall in upcountry Maui this past weekend. I was so happy to be there to capture their special day. I am totally in love with upcountry! Seabury Hall has the most beautiful grounds for a wedding. The day was perfect..a slight breeze and a few clouds to keep everyone cool. The ceremony was held right in front of the reflection pond under a gorgeous Jacaranda tree with vibrant purple blooms. It was such a pleasure to be able to capture Brendan & Kelly’s love for each other in these stunning surroundings. Congratulations you two! Thanks to Joanna for helping me out. Ross & Aja ~ Po’olenalena Beach, Wailea

I was so excited to meet up with Aja & Ross for a fun “trash the dress” session at one of my favorite spots, Po’olenalena Beach in Wailea. A few days before they were married at Secret Beach in Ko’olina, Oahu and then headed to Maui for their honeymoon where we met up. It was a gorgeous, blue morning and we practically had the entire beach to ourselves. Ross & Aja were so much fun to work with. Not only do they make a gorgeous couple but they are very sweet and easy going. Thanks so much to Joanna for helping me. We always have a blast when we are together. Congratulations Aja & Ross! It was a pleasure meeting and working with you. We wish many more fun adventures as husband and wife…

We started off with some romantic portraits…

Aja looked beautiful in her gown and we wanted to make sure we got some portraits before getting all sandy and wet. Aja mentioned that Ross may wear his wedding attire again but we managed to get him soaking wet in the end …nothing a good dry cleaner can’t fix!

Jeff & Angela ~ Westin Villas, Kaanapali

My blog has been neglected for the past few weeks! It has been a busy month with me playing catch up. I have so many fun things to share..a new family member joining us soon (an animal baby of course!), a performance by my youngest boy, new weddings and portraits, a fun weekend 2nd shooting with Joanna and some upcoming bridal show specials I will be running .. I had the pleasure of working with Jeff & Angela a few weeks ago at the beautiful Westin Villas in Kaanapali. Joanna Joined me for the evening. They had an intimate ceremony overlooking the ocean. Angela & Jeff were a wonderful couple to work with! It was such a privilege to be a part of their sweet ceremony and to capture there love for one another…

Justin & Kristy ~ Po’olenalena Beach

Senior Portraits :: Mariah

The Notenboom Family ~ Kamaole II, Kihei

I had the pleasure of working with the Notenboom Family a few evenings ago at Kamaole II Beach Park In Kihei. I first met Gail when I was doing a family portrait session in the same spot! She saw me working and asked me for my card. It was a wonderful evening with a gorgeous sunset! It was a special time for them because they were able to have four generations all together enjoying Maui. They were such a pleasant and easygoing group to work with. The children were so willing to smile for me Thank you Notenboom family for allowing Joanna and I to capture your very special memories. Thanks to Joanna for all her help! I don’t know what I would do without her!…

We took so many individual & group shots that I had a hard time deciding which ones to share! I chose some of my favorites from the evening…
