Ting + Elsa + Twin Falls = Magnificent!

I met up with Ting & Elsa a few days after they were married for some fun honeymoon portraits. I was thrilled when they decided on the North Shore as their location! I don’t often get to photograph on this side of the island..there is so much raw beauty & less crowds on the North shore. We started our afternoon with a short hike to the 1st waterfall at Twin Falls in Haiku. It was such a beautiful day..warm with golden light shining through the trees. After Twin Falls we headed to Hookipa Beach Park for some photos on the cliff..the waves were huge that day so the air was misty with ocean spray..so lovely! We ended our session at Baldwin Beach in Paia. Thank you so much Ting & Elsa for the fun afternoon! You two are so sweet together and it was a pleasure to capture your love on camera.

Josh + Rina + paddleboards + Kapalua Bay = Awesome!!!  I was so excited to have the opportunity to photograph Rina & Josh in the ocean. It was my first underwater shoot & it was so amazing. We paddled out at Kapalua bay on a warm, sunny morning…spent a few hours there capturing all we could. After Kapalua Bay & a lunch break we headed to Launiupoko for some fun shots in the waves. As the sun got lower we headed to the North shore to end our day at Hookipa Beach Park. It was such a fun experience I can’t wait to try it again. Thanks Josh & Rina for being my guinea pigs =) I can’t wait to photograph your wedding at Olowalu Plantation house soon.. I know it is going to be fabulous!

Back in July I had the opportunity to photograph Branden & Allison’s wedding in Holualoa on the big Island,Hawaii. What a gorgeous location! I kind of reminds me of where I live in upcountry Maui, very green and lots of fields, goats & horses..simply beautiful. We were in the clouds with a few sprinkles of rain making everything fresh and vibrant for this special day.

I first met Allison while she was getting ready for her big day.. she looked stunning. she was calm while laughing and drinking champagne with her girlfriends but you could feel the excitement in the air. Brandon was hanging out with the guys in a different part of the house..not rushing, just chilling..looking forward to the evenings ceremony.

The clouds lifted just in time for the days events. The ceremony was very sweet with lots of laughter. Branden & Allison radiated joy and love. Everyone around was smiling as they said their I do’s. After some family photos the reception began. It turned out to be a perfect day. Thank you so much Branden & Allison for having us there to capture your memories. Many thank to my husband Nate for all his help!

They decided to have a 1st look before the ceremony and do a few portraits so after the ceremony they could relax and enjoy their reception. I think this is such a great idea.. the 1st look is such a special moment to capture.

We did a Trash the Dress session the next day in Waikoloa. Stay tuned for that post tomorrow… a quick preview:
