Ian & Michelle ~ Makena Cove Wedding

I few weeks ago I met Ian & Michelle. The day I met them they were excited, nervous & couldn’t wait for what was to come. When I arrived Michelle was finishing up with hair & makeup and looked amazing! Mira did a wonderful job on both. Before she put on her wedding gown she took a moment to write a card to her husband to be, Ian. She tried not to cry but we could see the emotion in her face as she wrote…it was so sweet.

We delivered the note &  gift to Ian a bit later.. he seemed very calm & collected but I am sure he had warm fuzzies inside =) Michelle put on her stunning gown, pink shoes and beautiful jewelry and we headed out for their “First Look ” photos.. Ian calmly waited as Michelle approached from behind & tapped him on the shoulder.. It was such a special moment.

We headed to Makena Cove for some portraits & a sunset ceremony. The wind had calmed and the sun was out. It was a beautiful evening. Ian & Michelle said their I Do’s as a small group of family and friends looked on. A few tears of joy were shed as vows were said. The love was felt by all of us who shared in their day. Deanne from Precious Maui Weddings did a great job coordinating the event.

After the ceremony we stayed for some sunset portraits.. the sky was amazing, the nerves were calmed, husband & wife looked gorgeous in the sunset. All in all a perfect day.

The next morning we met up at Po’olenalena Beach for a super fun Trash the Dress Session. Ian & Michelle rode up on a scooter..it was so cute! The morning was warm, blue & lovely! I am so happy that I could be there to capture these memories for Ian & Michelle. Thanks you two for spending 2 days with us! Congratulations! I wish you many more adventures and tons of laughter as husband and wife. Much thanks to Joanna Tano for helping me and capturing amazing images both days..

A few of my favorites pics from both days… don’t miss the slideshow at the end..

Eric & Ellerene :: Makena Cove Wedding

Ellerene & Eric renewed their vows overlooking the beautiful, bright blue ocean at Makena Cove. Pia Aluli did an outstanding job with their ceremony. We could feel their love for one another as they reaffirmed their vows to each other. Ellerene looked lovely in her gown..her flowers were made by a local artist..they were made of clay! It was such a gorgeous day! After some portraits at Makena Cove we headed over to Big Beach for different scenery. After couple portraits it turned into a very fun Trash the Dress session. As we were shooting a pod of spinner dolphins made an appearance ..they seemed to be hanging out, playing in the waves.. it was so awesome! Thank you so much Eric & Ellerene for spending the day with us. It was a blast! We wish you many more happy years in your life together. Many thanks to Jana Morgan for 2nd shooting.

Nathan & Rothtida :: Kihei, Maui Wedding

I am so excited to finally blog about this wedding! Nathan & Rothtida were married a few weeks back in beautiful Kihei, Maui. The rented a house right near a favorite surf spot, “the Cove”. It was a gorgeous location. When I arrived Rothtida was just finishing up with hair and make up. She was a stunning bride! Nathan was preparing the seating for their intimate ceremony to be held on the lawn overlooking the ocean. I knew right away that this was going to be a wonderful day. Rothtida had put a lot of time into the details of the day. Her Pronovias Gown was a perfect match with her elegant accessories, birdcage veil & Christian Louboutin Shoes. Della of Dellables did a spectacular job on the bouquet and flower arrangements for the day.

Nathan & Rothtida were surrounded by a wonderful group of family and friends as they said their I Do’s. Everyone was so happy and excited for them! Their day was perfect. After the ceremony and a few portraits we headed to Spago in the Four Seasons Wailea for their reception dinner. All of the details were beautiful. The table had light pink roses & orchids with handmade thank you’s that Rothtida made herself. Nathan collects Pez dispensers so they had a special set of bride & groom Pez people marking their spots at the table.

My 2nd shooter, Anna & I were treated to an amazing 5 course dinner! All I can say is yum, yum! There were a few special, heartwarming toasts shared during dinner. Nathan & Rothtida were glowing with happiness and joy. Lots of laughter & good conversation was shared that evening. They shared their story of how they met and their first date..so sweet!

Near the end of the evening their beautiful cake was brought out and they shared a fun cake cut with everyone. It was such a wonderful evening! I was so honored to capture this adorable couples wedding! Nathan & Rothtida are such a special couple. Their warmth & love for each other, family & friends was awesome to capture & experience. Thank you Nathan & Rothtida for having us as part of your wedding day. I wish you many more years of happiness & laughter as husband & wife! Many thanks also to Anna for 2nd shooting for me.. it was a blast!
