I first met Tim & Amanda about a year ago while they were in the islands for their Honeymoon. We spent an evening at Ironwoods beach in Kapalua for some fun portraits. Amanda & I kept in touch with each other on Facebook..When she mentioned they were coming back to Maui for their anniversary I asked if they would be interested in creating some underwater art with me. They were great sports & said name the time & place. We met up on a very windy, stormy day in Makena..I was a bit worried as a swell was supposed to come in but it turned out wonderful. The sun peeked out from time to time to warm us up. Tim & Amanda were so amazing to work with! Being photographed in the ocean is not the easiest task but they made it seem effortless. It was so nice to have my wonderful friend & amazing photographer along with me, Joanna Tano.. we always have so much fum it hardly seems like we are working. Thanks so much to Tim, Amanda & Joanna for the fun morning..
I love the last three shots taken by Joanna..
Josh & Rina were married at Olowalu Plantation House on a breezy, warm afternoon. I was so excited to photograph their special day.. I have known Josh & Rina & their families for quite a few years. There is nothing better then being with your friends on the happiest day of their lives, getting to photograph it too..well that is awesome! Their engagement session was epic..it was my 1st underwater shoot, so I knew their wedding day would be fabulous. I arrived as Rina was having her make up done out on the lanai of the house..such a beautiful bride! We started with some detail shots & getting ready..I loved her sparkly pink shoes! Josh was busy greeting guests outside as they arrived and making sure all the preparations were as planned..everything looked perfect. Rina and Josh both seemed so calm & ready for their much anticipated day to begin. A fun group of family and friends looked on as Josh & Rina said their vows, exchanged rings and finally became husband & wife. It was such a sweet ceremony. After a few family portraits we walked around the grounds for some romantic photos of the two of them. It was so easy to capture their fun & vibrant smiles..they made my job easy. After their entrance into their reception Rina danced a surprise hula for her new husband. Such a sweet moment. Everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner, watched a slideshow and danced late into the evening.. such a great day! Thank you so much Rina & Josh for having me photograph your wedding day! I know you two will have many more adventures & a ton of fun in your life together & I am so happy that I was there to capture the beginning =)

Ting + Elsa + Twin Falls = Magnificent!
I met up with Ting & Elsa a few days after they were married for some fun honeymoon portraits. I was thrilled when they decided on the North Shore as their location! I don’t often get to photograph on this side of the island..there is so much raw beauty & less crowds on the North shore. We started our afternoon with a short hike to the 1st waterfall at Twin Falls in Haiku. It was such a beautiful day..warm with golden light shining through the trees. After Twin Falls we headed to Hookipa Beach Park for some photos on the cliff..the waves were huge that day so the air was misty with ocean spray..so lovely! We ended our session at Baldwin Beach in Paia. Thank you so much Ting & Elsa for the fun afternoon! You two are so sweet together and it was a pleasure to capture your love on camera.
